Per usual the food and service was very good here. The waitress was attentive and very pleasant. My only gripe would be the long wait to pay. For awhile they only had one cashier open with a line back to the restaurant area. I would still return.

The wife and I had a wonderful breakfast there last week. I had the Country Boy breakfast with country ham, three eggs, etc and the wife ordered two eggs and biscuits. We shared everything except the eggs and there was more than enough for both of us. Everything was delicious and the service from Carol was exceptional.

I was holding off on writing my review to see if corporate contacted us regarding this matter to try to make this right. They didn't. I brought my husband to Cracker Barrel for a special birthday dinner. We were a party of six, plus a baby, on a Sunday evening. The food was decent but the service was very slow. At the end of the meal, the server brought a complimentary Baked Apple Dumplin for my husband's birthday. I was a little surprised that the server didn't sing, but I was grateful for the dessert and the people at our table sang instead. Everyone at the table shared the dessert, and were passing it around. We had almost finished when my cousin bit down on a piece of glass. We were completely shocked, and asked to see the restaurant manager. When the manager arrived she immediately began looking around the table at our drinking glasses, and asked us if the piece of glass came from one of our glasses. We explained that the glass was near the bottom of the dish, and could not have come from one of our glasses. She continued to question us about where the glass had come from. Instead of saying "I am so very sorry this happened to you," we felt that the manager implied we had planted the glass. She did not offer to take care of our meals until my husband stated that my cousin should not have to pay for her meal. She begrudgingly stated that she would be right back and quickly whisked away the piece of glass. When she returned, she took my husband's (not my cousin, who was actually the one who bit into the glass) contact information. Our server returned with "updated" checks. My husband's meal was removed, but not my cousin's. Not once did the manager apologize for the glass. At the register when I was paying my portion of the bill, I asked for the manager's name (Laurie). The man at the register asked if I had been to a manager for a complaint, and when I stated that I felt the complaint wasn't handled appropriately, he stated "that happens a lot." On the way home in the car, my family wondered why a restaurant manager wouldn't be more concerned about the possibility of glass being in other desserts, particularly if the desserts were shipped frozen from a supplier, then warmed at the restaurant. Wouldn't the manager feel it was her responsibility to find out how this happened, so that someone else wouldn't bite into a piece of glass and crack a tooth, or actually swallow it? I would think so. My family also discussed how sad it was that what started out as a fun family dinner turned into the restaurant manager implying that we planted glass in our own (already free) dessert.

Good home style cooking at a reasonable price. There's usually a store associated with the restaurant which has all kind of knick knacks, country food items and old school candy.

Absolutely love Cracker Barrel. HUGE portions, decent prices, and a friendly staff keep us coming back for more. We love browsing through the nostalgic store while waiting to be seated. I get the Country Boy Breakfast which literally takes up half the table when it's served. Definitely recommended.

I came here because of nostalgic bliss of this being a staple of my youth. But coming back, I found the event lackluster. Service was slow, and luckily my server improved. My eggs were runny, my pancake felt off, and my biscuits did not have the warm center I so desire. It was...disappointing.

Dawn was our server for dinner tonight, it was clear she likes her job and is a people person! She was extremely accommodating, cheerful and made it worth the visit. My baked chicken was dry, but the biscuits were piping hot and melted in your mouth, and the dumplings were super yummy! I dipped my chicken in the dumplings and it made it more moist and tasty.

I ate at Cracker Barrel restaurants for breakfast two days in a row. Probably won't go back again. Both times their "SawMill Gravy" did not taste good. I did not eat it. The second day I looked for eggs without the grave and did not see it on the menu. I hoped the first time I did not like the gravy it was the restaurants fault, not so. Both times I did not taste good and I did not eat it. I complained both days as I paid the bill and was told they were sorry I did not enjoy my breakfast and they would tell the manager. One person asked why I did not send it back and get more? I said why get more if I did not like it. I used to love Cracker Barrel's Saw Mill Gravy, not any more. Neither restaurant offered to take the price of the gravy off the bill. I will not go back again.

I probably won't be back. This is about the 5th time I've been here and you never know how things will be. Last time our waitress was rude. This time the waiter is nice but it took forever for anyone to come greet us and it is not busy at all in here. Worst thing - obviously no one wiped the grill before doing these pancakes bc they taste like onions and peppers. Gross.

This place is a guilty pleasure of mine for breakfast. It's not haute cuisine, it's not anything resembling "healthy" portions or foods (things lean heavily towards the salty/fried/fatty end of the spectrum. Lots of ham, bacon, and sausage!), but darn it, it's tasty. Typically, the breakfast platter is enough food to feed two people, but I'll gladly gobble it all up and just skip lunch. Cracker Barrel's major claim to fame is it's consistency. This store is almost identical to the one in Naples, which is almost identical to the one in Bradenton, and I will wager is almost identical to the one in Glendale AZ (I've been to the first 2, not the latter). There's a store with kitschy home decor and clothing, along with old-timey candies and sodas attached to a restaurant. And the formula must work; I've never driven by a Cracker Barrel during operating hours and seen the parking lot less than half-full!

Wow I was very surprise on the food and service. Both were great.. I did make the mistake of going on a Sunday morn at 1100 am. It was very loud and crowded. I had to wait 10 minutes for a table. I am not use to waiting. Well that's life. I was seated within that time period. My waitress Kristy was outstanding . Got me my drink took my order. I was VERY surprise that it was delivered in less than 10 minute. Had the Sampler. Ham meatloaf and chicken & dumpling. I could not have done much better. Cole slaw ,nice ,green beans ,wonderful bacon and onion flavor, mash potatoes and gravy good. I was serve with a actual glass of soda no plastic. I do have 2 issues ham a tad bit salty.. Corn muffin it really sucks no flavor the 50 cents package at the store would be much much better. I will definitely put this on my return list.

No problems at all, just a good ol' Cracker Barrel!! Same good food and friendly service. Only thing we couldn't figure out is why they had heavy winter clothes for sale in southern FL!!

As we are from the West coast this was our first experience. I ordered the haddock as it's something we can't find here. It was so good I ordered it again on the next visit. Service Southern friendly. No alcohol so had the sweet tea which was nice. The place was busy so they must be doing something right. Would have liked to try some other things on the menu.

My father-in-law really wanted us to check out this restaurant for breakfast because the previous day we took him to a cafe for breakfast. Well, apparently his standards for breakfast are different to a cafe...there were no pancakes, biscuits and other tasty options at this cafe. He was headstrong that this breakfast place would rock our socks off. LOL Well, I had no idea what a Cracker Barrel was until we drove up. I instantly fell in love with the country cottage and hearty food portions. It was a happening place for breakfast, and was packed with plenty of people eating and shopping at the country store. At first, we were confused because all you see is the "Front Porch" items for sale, but you walk in a bit and discover the restaurant and that's where the real heaven waits for you. Looking over the menu there are plenty of selections to decide upon: made from scratch-buttermilk biscuits and saw-mill gravy, your "momma's" sourdough french toast, juicy country fried steak or chicken fried chicken, apple butter, grits, hickory smoked bacon or sausage or country ham, cheesy wonderful hashbrown casserole, and lots of coffee to wash it all down. Country eats at its best perfectly describes the food here, and portions are "Claim-Jumper' size...super-sized breakfasts for those with a hearty appetite. There is something for everyone because all of us got something different to start our day out right. My ever growing "vacation" palate loves a hearty meal, so I went big and ordered "Grandpa's Country Breakfast" - it had 2 eggs your way, Grits, Sawmill Gravy, Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits, Apple Butter, Hashbrown Casserole and Chicken Fried Chicken. My mouth is still drooling over this meal...the chicken was perfectly crispy and the creamy ooey gravy complimented the fried chicken. I wanted my chicken smothered in the gravy goodness of it all. Oh so tasty! The apple butter was the only butter you'll need for those warm and soft biscuits. I had a little bite of the grits, and if you add a little bit of sugar...it's better than oatmeal. You know what...I ate almost everything on my plate, too. I can't tell you what part was my favorite because everything was good. Everyone as well, was happily stuffed from their breakfast selections. Food coma heaven for all us. Country cooking is definitely one of my favorite ways to eat breakfast, and this is a great place if you're hungry for something hearty and big! I wish we had Cracker Barrel in SoCal..I'd visit you more often if I could!
